Green Frog Art acquired

High-end nursery furniture manufacturer Green Frog Art has been acquired by a private entity.
Saul Wolhendler has been named president of the company. Wolhendler was formerly president and CEO of EMI Yoshi, an upscale plastic disposable tableware company. He is an expert in strategic growth and plans to build on Green Frog Art's strength and reputation to grow a more diversified juvenile products company, a news release said.
Green Frog Art was founded in 1996 by Kelly Mariotti and for the past two years has been under the leadership of Linda Carpenter. Carpenter will stay on board during the transition of the company, which is known for its upscale cradle and wall décor collections. Other product categories include cribs, changers, table and chairs, step stools, lighting and rocking chairs.
"The acquiring company, a new private entity, is owned by people who have great experience in growing trade brands," Mariotti said. "It is time for Green Frog Art to take the next big step and the new vision is backed by considerable experience and knowledge. I know they will be very successful and build on what Linda and I created."
Added Carpenter: "We anticipate lots of changes at Green Frog, but everyone is committed to maintaining the close relationships with the many customers and friends who have supported us over the years. I'm here to help with that."
