The Bedroom Source opens second location

Paul and Philip Kantor have opened a second store in Carle Place, N.Y., 20 miles away from The Bedroom Source in Lindenhurst. The soft opening was Feb. 10 with a grand opening to be announced.
The Bedroom Source, Baby Kids Teen is a 12,000-square-foot store located in one of the biggest retail areas on Long Island, which should drive a lot of traffic, Paul Kantor said. The product mix is 80% kid/tween and 20% baby, a new category for the brothers.
"We seem to do so much business with kids and there aren't any other retailers in our area who offer the better quality kids furniture so we decided to open the second store," Philip said.
The original store is about 24,000 square feet, with 14,000 square feet devoted to adult lines, mattresses and a Sealy gallery. Youth represents 80% of the Lindenhurst store's business.
"So far the reception has been excellent," Paul said. "We're dealing with a more affluent customer in that part of Long Island and everyone who comes in loves the store. This location is set up with more galleries and vignettes compared to the Lindenhurst store."
While many of the Lindenhurst store's vendors also can be found in the Carle Place store, the Kantors did bring in a few new vendors like Newport Cottages and Natart for their infant furniture. The store also offers infant selections from Young America, Mother Hubbard, College Woodworks and Berg.
The Bedroom Source's second store includes baby, a new category for the retailer.
I have to agree with Amy above. After they told me that my beds would be delivered in 4-6 weeks, they still weren't delivered after over three months! At that point I wanted to cancel and they gave me this song and dance about how I couldnt and the beds would be coming soon. 6 months later $200 worth of stuff I bought still hasnt been delivered and now I am going to have to dispute it with my credit card. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO BUY A KIDS BED

I had a horrible experience with their Lindenhurst store and would never
go back to either location. We placed an order, and then cancelled it the
next day. We realized we just couldn''t justify paying $2000 for bunk beds
our girls were going to outgrow in just a few years. Well, we could not get
our money refunded--just a lot of excuses and apologies from the
salesperson. I was told to speak to the owner, Philip, who ignored each
and every one of my calls and emails. I finally disputed it with my credit
card company and they finally resolved it, but I can''t understand a
company growing that big with such little regard for their customers. This
is truly a case of "buyer beware!"
