Plush manufacturer Aurora World bowed a collection of green toys, which the company has dubbed Eco-Plush, at this week’s Toy Fair in New York.
The line, which will be composed of about 40 SKUs, features toys made with soybeans on the exterior and kapok on the interior. The plush ranges from 7.5” to 13,” with retail prices between $14.99 and $29.99. The first wave of characters includes arctic and endangered animals such as polar bears, penguins and seals as well as jungle animals such as gorillas, monkeys, elephants and hippos. The collection begins shipping in June, and all will have a 100% recycled paper hangtag that reads “Aurora, Naturally.”
“Our retail customers like the San Diego Zoo, Monterey Bay Aquarium and department stores, as well as consumers alike are demanding that manufacturers, especially those who lead an industry like we do, offer environmentally responsible products,” said Paul Roche, senior vice president of sales.
Referring to the fact that eco-friendly products are generally double or triple the price of non-green counterparts, he added that “Aurora is really excited and especially proud to offer an Eco-Plush animal line that retains quality without compromising affordability.”
We would love your feedback!
