Kids love things that are just for them, and that makes the child-size furniture category a big hit with little people. Table and chair sets, often done in kid-friendly colors and patterns, remain a popular choice. But there is variety as manufacturers add upholstered chairs, lounge furniture and tiny sofas to the mix. And kid-size furniture is going upscale as well. Examples include Uwharrie Chair Co.'s picnic table and Netto Collection's sophisticated-looking cub stools. But no matter the price, these pieces give kids a place to explore their imaginations, whether it's having tea parties, reading a book or just daydreaming.
Levels of Discovery's All Star Sports set includes a table with spinning balls in the corners and inset nets for a quick soccer game. The set, which comes with four stools, retails for $300.
KidKraft's upholstered rocker and ottoman is offered in denim and pink chenille fabrics.
Spin Master's licensed Spider-Man foldout sofa is perfect for little overnight guests. The sofas are offered in several styles and range in price from $19.99 to $45.

This table and chair set from White Wicker Co. is offered in a cute sailboat pattern, sure to appeal to young sailors.
These cub stools, with seagrass seats on cherry or walnut frames, give a child's room a casual but sophisticated look. From the Netto Collection, the retail price points are $110 for the smaller stool and $125 for the larger one.
Kids Only's licensed Cabbage Patch Kids lawn furniture includes this pink and purple lounge chair. The chair has a patented locking mechanism and multi-position backrest and footrest.
