Baby Furniture Plus gets new administrator

Baby Furniture Plus Association, one of the leading independent specialty store associations, announced that Beth A. Jarabek has been selected as administrator, succeeding John Alexander, who will remain with Baby Furniture Plus through 2008 and then retire after 20 years of service.

Jarabek joined Baby Furniture Plus in October 2007. Previously she served as executive marketing and advertising director for Splash Home Furnishings and Design in Glenwood Springs, Colo. From 1988 to 2006 she worked at theBurdines/Macy's Florida corporate headquarters (Federated Department Stores) in the merchandising, buying and finance divisions in Miami.

“I am excited to be a part of Baby Furniture Plus Association and look forward to working with its outstanding members and board of directors,” Jarabek said. “BFPA is one of the largest and most dedicated organizations in the juvenile industry. The strength of this group and the devoted manufacturers that support them is remarkable and I look forward to being a part of this team.”

The headquarters of Baby Furniture Plus Association has relocated to New Castle, Colo. ,where Jarabek resides. She also serves on the All Baby & Child Board of Directors representing Baby Furniture Plus Association.
