The United Storeowners Association of Baby Stores (USA Baby Stores), which was formed by a majority of USA Baby Inc.’s former franchisees when USA Baby Inc. was dissolved in bankruptcy earlier this year, announced Friday that they have filed new federal registration applications to reserve their trademarks USA Baby, Child Space and The Baby’s Room.
USA Baby Stores has simultaneously moved to cancel USA Baby Inc.’s previous trademark registrations.
The announcement comes at the start of the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas this week.
Alan Levine, the manager of USA Baby Stores, is one of the original founders and board members of the ABC Kids Expo. “I am humbled and honored by USA Baby Stores’ confidence in retaining me as their manager,” he said. “I look forward to restoring relationships and old friendships at this year’s ABC Kids Expo. I am pleased that most members will be there to show support.”
Mr. John Walston, a USA Baby Stores board member and owner of USA Baby/Child Space in Arizona, added “I am excited about the opportunities USA Baby Stores will provide for establishing new vendor partnerships and strengthening existing ones. Everyone will benefit. That’s what we need to grow and prosper.”
Melissa Waring, a member of U.S.A.
