DwellStudio for Target debuts

Contemporary home furnishings resource DwellStudio is launching DwellStudio for Target, a program that encompasses adult and infant bed linens, nursery furniture and room decor, baby layette and a full range of kitchen and table linens and accessories.
DwellStudio for Target Baby launched in January. The collection ranges from $2.99 for a pair of booties to $79.99 for a three-piece crib set. The furniture ranges in price from $99.99 for an ottoman to $299.99 for a crib or $289.99 for a convertible dresser/changing table, according to Target.
“Target and DwellStudio share a similar philosophy — a commitment to high-design, superb quality and affordable luxury. We went directly to the source to help us add this modern aesthetic into our stores,” said Trish Adams, senior vice president of merchandising, Target. “This collection reinterprets modern design and allows for a Target guest to integrate it into every room of her home.”
Dwell founder Christiane Lemieux defines modern design as “a mix of colors, prints and textures. These unexpected pairings help achieve a contemporary look.”
The mix-and-match theme extends to the baby line, which has two collections, Soho and Silverlake. Lemieux drew inspiration for the collections from vintage toys, architecture and travel. The products include nightlights, pillows, wall decals, window panels, blankets, fabric storage boxes, changing table pad covers and soft toys.
The nursery bedding has iconic childhood graphics like the alphabet, numbers and zoo animals, as well as geometric shapes, stripes and dots.
The furniture includes two cribs with coordinating convertible dresser/changing tables and a glider and ottoman.
The Soho crib is open on all four sides with square shaped bars and Silverlake has substantial closed sides, tapered legs and an architectural reveal. Both collections are solid hardwood and available in two finish options.
The layette has kimono-style bodysuits and tops that coordinate with pants, booties and caps. The boy collection, Cars, has 60s-era cars with a blue/brown palette and the girl collection, Apple Tree, comes in a rainbow of pinks and browns.
The Farm Girl crib set $79.99, and skirt, $19.99, are shown on the Soho Crib in walnut and pink, $289.99
