Growing Tree Toys makes online shopping for children easier

STATE COLLEGE, Penn.—Educational toys specialty retailer, Growing Tree Toys, has launched its redesigned Web site, which will better help consumers find the finest in quality children's toys.
On many toy Web sites, finding the ideal toy for a child can be like searching for a needle in a haystack.
As a result of feedback regarding consumers' constant needs to purchase children's toys as gifts for birthdays, holidays and other occasions, Growing Tree Toys has implemented a number of improvements on the Web site to assist with the gift-buying process. The enhancements to the gift services not only helps shoppers find the perfect gifts for kids, but provides a wider range of gift wrap services once they choose their toys.
“Since many of the toys purchased at our Web site are gifts for children from loved ones other than their caretakers— buyers with varying levels of toy knowledge—we wanted to make the toy buying process easier for them,” said Jon Emigh, managing partner. “The core of our redesign was to build a more robust search and navigation system to help buyers find a toy within a few clicks. In addition, we extended our gifts services to include affordable gift wrap, gift messages and To/From tags, a comprehensive gift finder and a quick gift guide of ‘can’t miss’ classics based on age, gender and price range.”
In addition to the updated services for gift-givers, Growing Tree Toys has further enhanced the areas of the Web site that provide information on their selection of educational toys. Based on the popularity and usefulness of the colorful icons that depict the developmental benefits and the types of play for every product on the Web site, Growing Tree Toys now highlights award-winning toys, identifies important product features, and includes product reviews from peers.
The additional product information now offered at Growing Tree Toys not only proves useful for gift buyers, but these new features help those shoppers that are most familiar with the child for which they are buying educational toys.
“We have seen an increased interest not only in the safety of our toys, but in product information that surpasses the toy itself—the skills a toy improves, the emotional and physical benefits of a toy, the age and skill appropriateness of a toy, and more,” said Emigh. “As a result, we have added even more useful information about the products we offer, as well as more resources to the Learning Center featured on our site.”
Growing Tree Toys is a family-owned, specialty toy store that has been offering educational toys for kids for over 30 years. After 25 years as a brick-and-mortar business solely, Growing Tree Toys launched its Web site in 2003, aiming to provide the same products and customer service that made the store successful for years. Growing Tree Toys strives to provide the best toys for children, while also creating awareness about how essential play is to their healthy physical, emotional, and social well being.
