Thank You Baby bows Kathy Ireland Infant at ABC

Thank You Baby signed a licensing deal a few months ago to produce crib bedding and other infant accessories under the Kathy Ireland name and the collections will debut at the ABC Kids Expo this month.
In addition, all of Thank You Baby's current crib bedding and other infant-related products will be co-branded under the Kathy Ireland name, said Tracy George, president of Thank You Baby. The manufacturer's youth offerings will continue to be released under the Thank You Baby brand.
George said the partnership was a pleasant surprise.
“Last year I was in the hotel room at ABC and got an email from Claude Ergas from Kathy's team,” George said. “He said they were interested in talking to me. He visited the booth, looked at the line and we started conversations. I didn't know they'd been looking for an infant bedding partner. I still look back and have to pinch myself; we're a small company in Nebraska. It's been a whirlwind and I'm really excited about the show.”
Thank You Baby will debut 15 infant groups and 14 youth groups at ABC as well as 12 revised existing infant collections that are co-branded.
“People think that because our infant line is now Kathy Ireland Home by Thank You Baby we will just be for big box retailers but that's not the case,” George said. “We will have exclusive collections for each market segment. Independent retailers have been our bread and butter and we will continue to serve them with exclusives and custom bedding options.”
The company does not upcharge for custom bedding, though the turn-around time is a bit longer. Thank You Baby also works with its own fabrics. Price points will change as some of the line will be made overseas while the specialty and existing collections will still be made in Nebraska.
George also has a new business partner, Shawna Mucklow, who is the vice president and COO and is in charge of manufacturing and product development.
