GOLDEN, Colo.—Amy Michelle owners Amy Wright and Michelle Herbert were recently recognized for their entrepreneurial spirit, success and promise by American Express’ Count Me In Program and also received Sam Walton’s Emerging Entrepreneur Award.
In the company’s first five years, Amy Michelle introduced four different lines of mommy-baby bags for the fashionable, active mom who does not want to sacrifice style for function. Each bag is designed to carry the essentials for both mom and baby, from infant to toddler. With each new line, Amy Michelle has added new styles, fabrics, colors and features that include the capability to convert from shoulder bag to backpack and attach to strollers. Its lines include Classic, Chic, Street, and a new line launched this fall—ecobaby totes—made from recycled fabrics and plastics (recycling excess material blended with recycled PET bottles).
The new totes, $75, are available in basic black and black with a “World Peace” insignia in a casual, vertical rectangle shoulder bag that converts to a backpack for the mom who wants something stylish yet more compact.
