Specialty children’s apparel manufacturer Zutano has signed a licensing agreement with infant bedding specialist Bananafish, a division of The Betesh Group, for a collection of baby bedding and room décor and accessories due out next year.
According to a news release, the designs and patterns will combine Zutano’s colorful mix and match approach with Bananafish’s design expertise. The collection will include a mix of bedding sets, comforters, blankets, crib sheets, bumpers, mobiles, wall organizers, dec pillows, lamps and more.
“Bedding is a natural extension to the Zutano line,” said Michael Belenky, founder and CEO Zutano. “Our unique prints will become part of your baby’s room and not just their wardrobe.”
“Zutano’s very unique look captures a segment of the baby bedding market that we feel is void,” said Jonathan Breiter, executive vice president of The Betesh Group. “Their amazing prints and patterns are perfect extensions for bedding.”
Breiter said the collection is slated to debut during the third quarter of 2008.
