Saverna Park, Md.-based Russell & Mackenna has opened a showroom to display its casual, cottage-style furniture line.
The 500-square-foot showroom features the manufacturer's 58 furniture pieces that can be customized through color, hardware and finial choices. For customers unsure about what colors they want in their home, the store offers a design tool called The Showroom in a Box. The kit contains catalogs, wooden color chips and fabric swatches that customers can check out and take home to experiment with. In-home consultations are available for customers needing more help, said Mary Quayle, stylist and showroom manager.
The showroom also offers hand-painted lamp shades from Lisa B. Studios and rugs from Company C.
"Opening our first showroom in the heart of Saverna Park is a dream come true," said Lauren Russell, co-founder and furniture designer. "We invite customers to come in and have a seat on our upholstered chairs and sofas and to open and close dresser drawers to get a feel for the high quality of our furniture.
"We know that when customers can feel the finish on a table, they appreciate the intense prep and paint process that goes into making each piece of furniture something a family will treasure for generations."
Russell & Mackenna has opened a showroom in Maryland to help tell its colorful product story.
