Staff -- Kids Today, 1/3/2006 12:00:00 AM

Little Robots product will be at retail in 2006.

LONDON — BBC Worldwide, distributor and global rights partner for Little Robots, has appointed the Joester Loria Group to serve as the U.S. licensing agent for the preschool property.

Little Robots follows the adventures of Tiny Robot and his friends, who turn a metal scrapheap into their own little world. The Cartoon Network has recently acquired the rights to 65 episodes of the animated property in the United States.

The Joester Loria Group will be responsible for managing the licensing programs in categories such as apparel, home décor, toys, gifts, food, promotion greetings and party items. Product is expected to be available at retail in fall 2006.

"We think Little Robots is one of the most exciting preschool properties around at the moment," said Debra Joester, president and CEO of the Joester Loria Group. "With its wonderful cast of characters and exciting story line, we feel we have all the components necessary to create a dynamic line of merchandise that will excite retailers and consumers."
