Fashion designs, characters grace beds

Staff -- Kids Today, 9/1/2007 12:00:00 AM

The New York Home Fashions week showcased everything from new licenses with Crayola, Pink Panther and Transformers to whimsical and sophisticated looks for boys and girls.

JLA Home launched a new Olive Kids girl
JLA Home launched a new Olive Kids girl's bed, Tea Party, in soft pinks and purples on white, and embellishments including attached ribbons, plush lace and embroidery, all on all cotton construction.

Arley
Arley's Ringo, a brightly colored series of interlocking rings on a white background and a bottom border of circles on a black ground, creates a graphically engineered bed. The sheets are overall black rings on a white background.

The Transformers will keep kids warm with this 50″ × 60″ reversible throw of micro-raschel polyester from The Northwest Co.

New to WestPoint Home's array of licensed kids' products is the Pink Panther family with designs offered in both twin and full size in sheet sets, comforters, bed skirts, shams and valances all on 180-count 60% cotton/40% polyester blends.

CHF Inds.
CHF Inds.' Flip-It brand has added Construction Site, which has a reversible comforter set and sheet set, giving kids two ways to decorate their rooms.

Crayola Monster Party from Whisper Soft Mills features "glow in the dark" icons and lots of bright fun monsters on a rich navy background. The group is made from polycotton; the sheet sets are 200-count percale, 100% cotton.

Hallmart Collectibles' Abigale is a delicate design of outlined black and white roses with complimenting polka dots. This ensemble is accented with fuchsia piecing and piping throughout that adds sweetness to the collection.

Australian-based Freckles takes to the skies with Blast Off. This 100% cotton (except fill) collection has crisp retro styling in classic navy and mustard colors. Twin and full sizes are available. Pieces include quilts, shams, window valance, dec pillows, wall décor, rugs, comforter sets, sheet sets and more and prices range from $15 to $230.

Bananafish
Bananafish's Country Cottage crib bedding and room décor is inspired by tradition at its best but with a modern twist. A time-honored floral print is paired with flirty multi-color stripes and bold raspberry accents for a contemporary take on a traditional pattern. Suggested retail for a four-piece bedding set is $300.
