HONG KONG – The recently-concluded China Sourcing Fair: Baby & Children’s Products in October 2009 drew a total of 22,551 global buyers, up from 13,581 in April 2009. The huge visitor turnout was also complemented by a wider array of exhibits.
“The Baby & Children’s Products Fair showed the strongest growth with booths up 30%,” said Sarah Benecke, Global Sources executive director.
Co-located events, which shared the success, included China Sourcing Fairs: Home Products and Gifts & Premiums, as well as India Sourcing Fair: Home Products.
British company Cuddles Collection Ltd. visited the Baby & Children's Products Fair and spoke well of the event.
“We are looking for baskets and baby beddings,” said Lak Bob, representative. “We found plenty of good suppliers here. We placed an order this morning and we are looking forward to having another one.”
India’s Silverline Products was also among the satisfied buyers. Company representative Anil Kumar Lal was pleased with Greater China’s pool of competitive manufacturers.
“This show is amazing. I have found very good suppliers from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. We are looking for very big purchases for our outlets in India,” he said.
The fair is held every April and October, which are peak sourcing periods in Hong Kong. This strategic timing allows visits to other trade shows in the region, to maximize a single trip.
AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong's premier exhibition center, is just a minute away from the airport and 28 minutes from downtown via Airport Express train. Global Sources will also provide free shuttle bus transportation to take visitors from multiple city locations to the venue during the four-day shows.
The next event is set for April 20 to 23, 2010 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. It covers a product range from infants to 14-year-olds. For free admission, pre-register at www.chinasourcingfair.com.
