Cloud B drops Amazon.com as online retailer
Decides to support specialty, small chain retailers

TORRANCE, Calif. – In an effort to support the company’s 3,000 retailers nationwide, Cloud B has informed Amazon.com, Inc. that it will no longer sell to the online retail giant. One of the company’s largest customers, Amazon.com has carried a variety of Cloud B products including the best-selling Sleep Sheep and Twilight Turtle, which made Amazon.com’s top seller list last holiday season.
“This was a difficult financial decision for us, but now more than ever, it is imperative that we stay true to our business philosophies and continue to support our retail partners that are most affected by these economic times,” said Nader Hamda, president and CEO of Cloud B. “As a company, we strongly believe in supporting all our retail partners equally.”
The company is continuing its initiative to take corporate responsibility to a higher level. Always committed to meeting and exceeding worldwide safety and quality standards, last year Cloud B announced steps to reduce the company’s carbon footprint by transitioning all product packaging to recycled materials and moving to eco-friendly and/or organic materials whenever possible. The company also introduced its Endangered Species Line where a portion of the proceeds benefits the Conservation International Foundation.
“Quality and safety for our children and for our environment are guiding principles of our company, and now we add to those principles a commitment to helping all our retail channel,” said Hamda.
Cloud B designs its products, ranging from sleeping bags to plush toys, to provide a better sleep for children. The award-winning Sleep Sheep and Twilight Turtle, from the Sleep Sheep & Friends collection, are designed to soothe different senses to provide the ultimate atmosphere for a longer night’s rest. The complete product line is still available through several retailers, including Bloomingdale’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, Von Maur, Harrods and specialty boutiques worldwide.
