Powell celebrates 40 years with 40 week promotion

To honor Powell’s 40 years in business, the case goods, accent and occasional furniture importer is offering dealers a special one-week-only email promotion every week for 40 weeks, ending with the fall High Point Furniture Market in October.
“Ruby Specials,” so called for the gemstone that’s traditional fare for a 40th anniversary, are unprecedented “while they last” deals that are available only for one week and only through Powell Company’s innovative Powell Retailers Online program, or PowellPRO, which gives wholesale customers ready access to a host of information on Powell products from any computer or Internet-accessible mobile phone.
Powell Company Senior Vice President of Sales Tom Liddell said the unique promotions have really caught on, with many retailers hungry each week to see what the latest steal is.
“We’re very proud to have spent the past 40 years as one of the top furniture importers in the country,” said Liddell. “We wouldn’t be where we are today without our satisfied customers, and we’re happy to have them join in our excitement in the way of these great deals on our 40th anniversary.”
The first Ruby Promotion was emailed to Powell’s existing customer database the week after the winter Las Vegas Furniture Market, and the last special will be valid the week of October 27th, which will be the beginning of the fall High Point Market. To qualify, all orders must be placed through PowellPRO, and there will be no re-orders after the seven-day special period.
