New licensees on board for Babar, Max & Ruby

Nelvana Enterprises is packing a suitcase full of new broadcasting and licensing deals for Licensing Expo for its animated properties Babar And The Adventures Of Badou and Max & Ruby.
For Babar And The Adventures Of Badou, licensing agent TF1 Licences has signed up many licensees for the French marketplace including Lansay for toys, Sun City for apparel and accessories, CTI for bed linen, and Viquel for back-to-school and stationery. Also, special programs are planned to celebrate Babar's 80th Anniversary next year. New broadcasters signed for the new CGI series include Playhouse Disney Japan, ABC TV Australia, TV New Zealand, TV2 Norway, YLE 2 Finland, DR TV Denmark, Thai PBS and SRC for French Canada.
New Max & Ruby products in the U.S. marketplace include book titles from Penguin and Key Porter, Toys "R" Us Times Square exclusive New York City-themed merchandise, and plush and puzzles at Barnes & Noble. A new live stage show from KOBA Entertainment is set to debut in Canada this September and a QSR promotion is planned for the first quarter of 2011. New licensees for the U.S. include Sara Max (sleepwear), Bakery Crafts (cake decorations), Core Velocity (novelty foil packs) and Kellytoy (crane and amusement toys).
