USA Baby launches new e-commerce website
The United Storeowners Association of Baby Stores (U.S.A. Baby Stores), has announced that it has gone live with its new e-commerce website, USABaby.com.www.USABaby.com
The new website is a comprehensive e-commerce site that offers the consumer the opportunity to buy online or shop their stores. Later this year, the site will incorporate a national gift registry system where expecting parents will be able to create and add items to a baby registry online or in one of its stores. Consumers will then be able to either buy from a gift registry online or in store at the consumer's convenience.
"Our new e-commerce site and online national gift registry will allow our stores to compete more effectively with other industry big box stores," said Alan Levine, industry veteran and the head of U.S.A. Baby Stores.
U.S.A. Baby Stores recently reached an agreement with Lone Star Baby, where Lone Star will manage and provide fulfillment for www.USABaby.com from its centrally located Dallas warehouse facilities.
"We are excited to be working with U.S.A. Baby Stores and extremely confident that the new website and its capabilities will increase online and in-store sales," said Michael J. Schaul, president of Lone Star Baby. "The new e-commerce relationship with Lone Star will allow the U.S.A. Baby Stores to expand its product offering with no added investment. Given the current economic environment, this is good for the U.S.A. Baby Stores, Lone Star Baby, and our vendor partners."
U.S.A Baby Stores is an association of 27 independent baby and kids stores, which operates as a buying group with an elected Board of Directors. Lone Star Baby has four Dallas/Fort Worth stores headquartered in Frisco, Texas.
