Modern Child area to house more than 125 exhibitors

THE ABC KIDS EXPO'S Modern Child pavilion is a showcase of juvenile products manufacturers, focused on contemporary design and high functionality. The pavilion will be located just behind the First Time Exhibitors section on the second floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center, encompassing booths 5201 to 6431.
This juried section of the show represents the most innovative designs within numerous product categories. To exhibit in this area, each company had to submit an application and special documentation, to be considered by an independent selection committee consisting of three manufacturers and three independent retailers.
Selection criteria included original, creative and authentic product design; new and innovative use of materials; a focus on contemporary, modern and fashionable design; functional products that address and solve the needs of today's parent and child; and consistent and continuous flow of new product development and innovation.
The jurors met four times to review application submissions. The approved companies then paid a $350 fee to offset the cost of special pavilion carpeting, drapes, signage and publicity in the show directory and show floor plans.
The approved applicants were also required to provide a complete and detailed retailer customer list to the ABC Kids Expo for the purpose of creating special direct promotions to these retailers and encouraging registration and attendance at the expo.
