Los Angeles -- Delta Children's Products has donated 270 items, including cribs, changing tables, dressers, bassinets, strollers, toddler beds, "rooms in a box," toy boxes, game tables, game chairs, step stools, table and chair sets, and swap top kitchens, to Jessica Seinfeld's charity organization, Baby Buggy, and the International Rescue Committee's Los Angeles site.
"It is Delta's mission to provide safe sleeping environments for children everywhere," said Joe Shamie, president of Delta Children's Products. "We are honored to be working with Baby Buggy on helping to provide for those in need."
The IRC helps resettle refugees from Iran, Iraq and Burma, and helps them find their feet by providing housing, furniture, clothing, and food, and helping them adapt to a new world.
Baby Buggy, started in 2001 by Jessica Seinfeld, is dedicated to providing essential equipment, clothing, products and educational services for families in need, and has a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. Baby Buggy has donated more than 4.4 million items to hundreds of thousands of children.
A recent partnership between Baby Buggy and Target helps facilitate the donation of basic necessities from Target vendors, including Avent, Boppy and Huggies, to families living at or below poverty level in select cities across the United States.
Because of this partnership Baby Buggy is now reaching seven major cities across the country, including Los Angeles, with their extensive network of community based organizations. Due to the great response in LA they have partnered with the International Rescue Committee's LA site with whom both Baby Buggy and Jessica have a long history; Jessica served on the IRC's New York committee.
