Be Bop convertible bed
High Point, N.C. -- French furniture manufacturer Gautier brought its innovative new Be-Bop children's bedroom system to market here this week, which continues the trend of flexibility by making every piece in the collection convertible.
The twin bed easily converts to a full-size bed; a trundle converts to a bookcase; the wardrobe slides in and out, depending on size needs; and the desk is adjustable in width and height.
The different options mean a child can change the look and feel of his bedroom depending on his needs -- or, in the case of a move, can adjust the furniture to fit a new living space.
Functionality and flexibility was considered in every aspect of the design, said Herve Laurent, executive vice president of Gautier USA.
With a sleek, European modern look, the bed retails for $684; the wardrobe for $1300 and the trundle/bookcase for $290.
