Kids Today Staff -- Kids Today, 8/30/2011 5:24:02 AM

ATLANTA - Juvenile products manufacturer Kids II has opened an office and showroom in Tokyo, Japan. The office is in the Shinjuku district, a major commercial and administrative center that houses Shinjuku Station, one of the busiest train stations in the world. The company said in a press release that the location is easily accessible from anywhere in Tokyo and will allow Kids II to present its complete portfolio from a centralized location.
Key retailers close in geographical proximity to this office include Toys ‘R' Us Japan, Akachan Honpo, Seiyu- Walmart, Aeon, Amazon. jp and many other department store and specialty chains.
"As Kids II continues to grow globally, it is important to have a strong presence in key locations around the world to enhance our customer service and brand representation," said Ryan Gunnigle, President and CEO of Kids II. "The showroom will allow us to present a complete picture of the extensive lineup of products and better assist us in working with our strategic partners to create the most unique and innovative assortment possible as we expand."
Within the past five years, Kids II has continued to grow at an average rate of 25% per year.
"We have achieved this record growth because we significantly increased our footprint as a global manufacturer and supplier," said Gunnigle. "Investing in our Asian infrastructure, for example, has allowed us to manufacture and ship directly to retailers in our European and Asian markets."
The company opened its first international office in Hong Kong in 2001. Five years later, Kids II also has offices in Mexico, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, the Kids II U.S. team continues to grow as the company expands globally. The corporation is increasing overall staffing every month and is leveraging partnerships with Georgia Tech and Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to recruit young, talented designers.
"Through these alliances, we have found exceptional students who have since joined the Kids II team in the U.S. and abroad, which is positively impacting our global growth," said Gunnigle. "With their fresh perspectives and the seasoned expertise of our worldwide employees, Kids II invents some of the most creative, groundbreaking product ideas in the toy industry. This is a major driver for expanding and opening offices around the world like our recent addition in Japan."
