Mifold Grab-and-Go Booster seat wins JPMA Innovation Award

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat won the coveted Best in Show JPMA Innovation Award Wednesday during the JPMA Baby Show held here this week.

mifoldThe mifold Grab-And-Go booster seat won the JPMA Innovation Award announced Wednesday evening at the JPMA Baby Show in Anaheim, Calif.
Company founder Jon Sumroy created the product after observing that many children do not use a booster seat in the car for carpools, or in taxis, rental cars or in the back seat with other passengers.

The booster seat is more than 10 times smaller than a regular child’s car booster seat, which the company said makes it the most compact, portable booster seat on the market.

The product is geared for children ages four and up and is available at www.milfold.com and www.nordstrom.com

I'm Tom Russell and have worked at Furniture/Today since August 2003. Since then, I have covered the international side of the business from a logistics and sourcing standpoint. Since then, I also have visited several furniture trade shows and manufacturing plants in Asia, which has helped me gain perspective about the industry in that part of the world. As I continue covering the import side of the business, I look forward to building on that knowledge base through conversations with industry officials and future overseas plant tours. From time to time, I will file news and other industry perspectives online and, as always, welcome your response to these Web postings.
