JPMA holds 2018 Baby Show in Washington, D.C.

Event being held in conjunction with D.C. Baby Show next March

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. – The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Assn. will host its second annual JPMA Baby Show March 20-24, 2018, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

The event is being held in conjunction with the D.C. Baby Show, which takes place March 24.

The inaugural JPMA Baby Show was held May 9-13 in Anaheim, Calif. As the JPMA has held its annual meeting in Washington over the past several years, the association said it made sense to share its legislative and regulatory content in the same city with the Baby Show.

“The industry has strongly supported JPMA’s vision for a combination conference and trade show and consumer day event footprint, and we want to build on that momentum,” said JPMA Executive Director Kelly Mariotti. “The decision to place our event in Washington, D.C. was a strategic one. Not only does it bring the industry trade show to the East Coast, where there is a vibrant retail customer base, it also allows us to leverage the location to draw compelling speakers and attendees from the legislative and regulatory community.”

Reservations for exhibit space at the event are now being accepted. To become a sponsor or exhibitor at the event, contact John Hurley at john@thebabyshowseries.com.

I'm Tom Russell and have worked at Furniture/Today since August 2003. Since then, I have covered the international side of the business from a logistics and sourcing standpoint. Since then, I also have visited several furniture trade shows and manufacturing plants in Asia, which has helped me gain perspective about the industry in that part of the world. As I continue covering the import side of the business, I look forward to building on that knowledge base through conversations with industry officials and future overseas plant tours. From time to time, I will file news and other industry perspectives online and, as always, welcome your response to these Web postings.
