SAN FRANCISCO — Williams-Sonoma said it will recruit for more than 4,000 open positions across its operations at a first National Hiring Day Sept. 14.
The company, which operates Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, PBteen, Rejuvenation and West Elm stores, said recruitment will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at its stores across the United States and Canada. It’s also taking applications online for openings at its headquarters and across its supply chain management offices.
For the corporate and supply chain posts, it directed applicants to the careers section of its corporate website, telling them to note “#WSINationalHiringDay” under “source.”
“Culture is a top priority for us at Williams-Sonoma,” said President and CEO Laura Alber. “We want to be an employer of choice and have a positive presence in the communities where we work.
“We are proud that more than 50% of senior leadership across our enterprise is female,” added. “We welcome all and stand for equality for our employees and for our customers.”
Openings are available in most departments across all brands and that store positions available may include assistant store manager; community connection coordinator; social media specialist; design crew home stylist; culinary specialist; shipper/receiver; installer; sales associate; stock associate; and visual associate.
“We are committed to finding smart, imaginative people to build teams from all backgrounds and skillsets and are eager to create new opportunities and open our doors on Sep. 14 to welcome new faces to the Williams-Sonoma family,” said Vicki Williams, executive vice president of retail and business sales.
