PINE BROOK, N.J. — Nursery furniture manufacturer Boori has announced that its entire line has received Greenguard certification, making it the first infant furniture company to achieve that status, the company said.

The Greenguard Environmental Institute created the certification program to recognize companies who meet or exceed a set of requirements for low chemical emissions. Boori said it submitted its whole line for the voluntary testing because it wanted to contribute to helping consumers create a healthier home. Boori's collections includes cribs, bassinets, changers, nightstands, chests, double dressers, bookcase/hutches, toddler guard rails, full bed conversion kits and toy boxes.
"We are proud to be the first nursery furniture manufacturer to earn GEI's Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certification on our entire line of beautiful, high quality furniture and their finishes" said Michael J. Schaffer, Boori's president. "This achievement not only reinforces Boori's commitment to optimum indoor air quality, but also provides consumers with a resource for choosing healthier products."
"Indoor air quality is especially important in a nursery as children are more susceptible to chemicals released by products," says Henning Bloech, executive director of the Greenguard program. "Being able to purchase a full set of Greenguard certified nursery furniture is key in creating a healthier indoor environment for your family."
