Kolcraft recalls Contours Tandem stroller because of fall, choking dangers
Kids Today Staff -- Kids Today, 7/31/2012 11:34:08 AM
Kolcraft has recalled about 5,600 Contours Options LT tandem strollers after receiving reports of the front wheel breaking and nuts detaching in the basket area.
Kolcraft has received six reports of the front caster wheels breaking, which can cause a child in the stroller to fall out. The company has also received two reports of the support screws and nuts that secure the basket detaching on strollers made in January and February 2012. No injuries have been reported.
The recalled stroller is model number ZT012, which can be found with the manufacture date on a label on the rear leg. The two-seat strollers have one mesh basket beneath both seats and are available in black/red and gray/yellow color schemes. They retailed for about $250 and were sold between February 2012 and July 2012 at Amazon.com, Target.com, Burlington Coat Factory and other retailers.
Consumers should contact Kolcraft at (800) 453-7673 or at www.kolcraft.com to receive free replacement wheels. Consumers who have strollers made in January or February of this year should also contact the company for replacement nuts.
We would love your feedback!
