The Consumer Product Safety Commission's Small Business Ombudsman Neal Cohen will host two educational sessions at the ABC Expo next week.
On Monday Oct. 15, from 8:15 - 9 a.m., Cohen will host a session for exhibitors titled "Are you ready for February 2013? CPSC Update on Product Safety Rules and Periodic Testing Requirements," and on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 8:15 - 9:00 a.m., Cohen will host a session for retailers and buyers, "Your Roles in Federal Consumer Product Safety."
The exhibitor session is tailored towards manufacturers, importers, private labelers, and others, and will discuss recent and pending changes to regulations for durable infant products and other children's products, including toys. Cohen will also spend time discussing the testing and certification requirements of CPSIA and the periodic testing requirements that are set to go into effect in February 8.
The retailer session is tailored towards buyers and retailers, and will discuss not only their responsibilities under federal law but the tools available to them to protect their customers and themselves.
We would love your feedback!
