NE Kids expands High Point showroom by 40%

Jane Kitchen -- Kids Today, 10/9/2012 11:45:40 AM

Youth furniture resource NE Kids has expanded its High Point showroom by 40%.

The company will be filling the space, in Center Point 106, with three collections: Walnut Street, Lake House and Hatteras, all making their debut this week at the High Point Market.

"Center Point is a great building, and its management team and staff have always been great to work with," said NE Kids President Dough Devine. "We are glad we could stay where we were and gain the additional space we needed to achieve our long-term goals."

The company annexed the showroom space adjacent to its current location, and the new space is accessible through a newly installed stairwell, constructed within their existing showroom.
Devine said the key to adding the additional space was accessibility.
"We simply did not want to have to walk customers down the hall," he explained. "By annexing the adjacent space, NE Kids is now in a position where our showroom will continue to support our growth for years to come."

That growth begins with NE Kids' three new collections this market.

Walnut Street offers a modern twist to classic Louis Philippe styling, and features three beds, a bunk and loft, all available in two finishes. The collection's writing desk is a versatile item that can be paired with either a vanity mirror, opening to reveal hidden storage, or an entertainment hutch with a speaker system that can amplify a laptop, cell phone or mp3 player.

Lake House offers a fresh take on cottage styling, and Hatteras is a rustic collection with impressive scale and a unique wire brushed finish. Both collections will be showcased with two beds, a bunk and a complete set of youth cases.

"We are most excited about the unique finishes and fresh details these new collections offer," said Devine. "Our goal was to set these collections apart from others with similar styling and give buyers a reason to choose NE Kids."
