The Land of Nod to open pop-up shop in New York

Youth lifestyle store The Land of Nod will open its first brick-and-mortar shop in New York City. The pop-up Holiday Toy Shop, located on 136 Prince St. in SoHo, will open to shoppers on Nov. 2.

The 3,200-square-foot store will feature an enchanted forest theme and a large assortment of holiday products with retail prices ranging between $1.95 and $349.

"I'm so excited to bring the Holiday Toy Shop to life," said Michelle Kohanzo, The Land of Nod's managing director. "Opening a store in New York City has always been a dream for us; New Yorkers have supported The Land of Nod since the company's first year. We hope shoppers will bring their children and enjoy The Land of Nod in person."

The Holiday Toy Shop will bring to life The Land of Nod's signature humor and lively spirit, previously experienced by New Yorkers only through the brand's catalogs and website. The shop's front window will feature handmade, larger-than-life stuffed dolls, a Christmas tree, a raccoon and a giant s'more, all created by artisans around the world exclusively for the store.

The location will feature an exclusive assortment of children's toys and holiday décor, and The Land of Nod will host children's events each week including book readings and DIY crafts such as puppet making. On-site holiday gift boxing will also be available.

The Land of Nod Toy Shop will close Dec. 31.
