Full-line furniture resource Acme Furniture has moved to a larger space at the World Market Center for this week's Las Vegas Market, which will allow the company to showcase more new and inline goods. The company has moved to a 31,000-square-foot showroom in C-1401, two floors up from its former 20,000-square-foot space. Acme officials said the move is response to the growth of the company's business and the need for additional space to show its product line and introductions. Gabriel Pu, senior vice president of sales, said Acme was projecting a sales gain of 20% in 2012, on top of growth it experienced in the previous two years.
The new space is part of a plan to capture additional growth in 2013, Pu said.
"Business has been good for us, but we also feel the whole industry is picking up a little bit," he said. "By talking to our reps and customers, it looks like 2013 will be better than this year.... With the industry turning around a little bit, we will grow even more. That's definitely the goal."
Pu estimated that about 40% of the floor space will be devoted to new product in every category in its line, including master and youth bedroom, dining room, occasional furniture, upholstery and accessories. He said that about half of the floor space will feature inline goods.
The showroom also will have a café and meeting space for sales reps and other company officials.
We would love your feedback!
