Home décor and gifts manufacturer Midwest-CBK had added two former employees to its senior sales team. Laurence Warden has been named vice president of sales and Maria Williams has been named senior director of sales.
Warden will oversee the independent and national sales teams and focus on growing sales. He previously held sales leadership roles with Midwest-CBK in both his native England and the U.S. Warden was most recently the director of sales for Kaemingk Associates.
"I had the privilege of working with Laurence when we served together at Midwest-CBK in the 1990s, and welcome his tremendous history of success, energy and breadth of experience back to the company and our customers," said Dick Duff, Midwest-CBK general manager. "His genuine enthusiasm combined with outstanding sales and leadership will serve our customers, employees and the industry well."
In her new role, Williams will be responsible for the day-to-day sales activity working with independent retailers and will manage the field sales team, which includes regional sales managers and account managers. Williams was previously a regional sales manager at Midwest-CBK. Most recently, she was national sales director at Blue Mountain Art, where she worked with Duff.
"Maria is an outstanding leader with a broad background of experience in our industry, and she's the perfect fit for our customers and sales team," Duff said. "I've worked with Maria in two previous roles including when we first served together at Midwest-CBK, and I'm looking forward to working together again and bringing her experience, insight and down-to-earth approach to our talented team and customers."
