New stroller colors, classic cribs among offerings

Color was the word at last month's All Baby and Child Expo in Las Vegas. Most strollers and carriages remained mostly black but were accented with bold swaths of orange, pink and purple. Cribs also were shown in a different color, black, but many maintained classic details. Add to these an abundance of bedding collections and room decor pieces, and there was definitely something for nearly every buyer.

The European Collection Classic II from Petit Provencal is a sophisticated hand-painted set in oak. The twin bed and screen with fabric details both retail for $1,200.
KidKraft's castle bookcase has plenty of room for books and other storage. The case is also available in a dollhouse design.
Mustela's Take Out Baby gift set includes cold cream, cleansing cloths, mittens and a fleece scarf. There's even a fortune cookie for mom or dad. The gift set retails for about $37.
The towel cozy from Snowflakes helps you dry off baby while keeping yourself dry. The 100% cotton terry cloth towel is available in two sizes.
Silver Cross introduced its Micro stroller in a hot new color combination of pink and black.
The Chris Mladen convertible crib is new from Caramia in solid beech with a Fireside finish.
The Red Hot Paisley lamp from P.J. Kids has a burnished gold base with a red shade adorned in gold paisley. It retails between $39 and $54.
A.P. Inds.' cottage-style Martha crib converts into a double bed and is available in more than a dozen solid birch finishes.
The Princess Debbie collection from BananaFish features pink diamond silk, floral embroidery and appliqués and organza overlays for a lush feel. A four-piece set retails for $450.
Hoohobbers' new Lamb bedding set features a vintage look in pink and blue. A four-piece set retails for $370, and coordinating lamps, ottomans and stools are available.
Dutailier's Grand Chair features a seating area that is 3 inches wider than usual to allow room for a small child to sit with mom or dad.
The Chanelle Collection from Bebe Chic features whimsical touches such as a suit detail and pocketbook-themed accessories. A four-piece set retails around $870.
Legacy had a strong showing with several new introductions. This crib with a new take on curves is part of the Devonshire Collection, a solid aspen group shown with an antique cherry finish.
Sweet Kyla showed its whimsical new Fish & Ships crib bedding collection, which retails at $325 for a four-piece set.
Bonavita showed its new Valencia Collection, a transitional group with a hint of Americana. Made from European beech and beech veneers, the collection features Wainscot detail and is shown in tea stain.
Baby's Dream showed this new sophisticated black crib, with coordinating bedding available exclusively to Baby's Dream customers from Cotton Tale Designs.
This new Jenny Lind-style crib from Pali is shown in a distressed white finish and has a retail price point of $479.
The AT-4 stroller from Peg Perego converts into a baby carriage and features off-road tires and reversible upholstery and hood.
Maclaren showed some fashion-forward new fabrics, including this Quest Mod, which sports a fun, circular design on a lightweight single-hand fold stroller.
