Orlando — The Juvenile Products Manufacturers' Assn. will hold its annual trade show at the Orange County Convention Center here next year, in a move the organization said is based on feedback from members, retailers and sales representatives. The show will be held May 23 to 25, 2005.
The JPMA show will be held in the convention center in open booth format, which the organization said will be more in line with current industry prices.
"I have only heard 100% positive reactions from both retailers and exhibitors," said Bengt Lager, chairman of the JPMA show. Lager said there are still many details to be worked out, and pricing for the show had yet to be finalized.
The 2005 show will be the association's 37th. The show originally started in New York and then moved to Dallas in 1981, where it was held in a closed showroom format.
"We look forward to this change in location, new format, and feel it will provide an even greater opportunity for all parties to conduct business," said Robert Waller, Jr., president of JPMA.
