Culver City, Calif. — Developmental toy manufacturer Small World Toys has acquired electronic learning and related intellectual property from educational toy company Neurosmith.
"Neurosmith is a highly regarded brand with significant growth potential, supported by innovative products and strong consumer interest in child development," said Debra Fine, president and CEO of Small World Toys.
Small World Toys will continue to market the toys under the name Neurosmith, continuing with seven of the company's SKUs and keeping the same packaging and logo. Small World will show the toys at Toy Fair in February in New York, and will introduce two or three new SKUs for 2005.
"The addition of electronic learning products to our existing line-up of quality infant and preschool developmental toys represents a tremendous opportunity and we look forward to building upon Neurosmith's brand-name awareness," Fine said.
Other brands under the Small World name include IQ Baby, IQ Preschool, Puzzibilities, and Ryan's Room.
