Las Vegas— Pitter Patter Collections had a beautiful bedding display at last month's ABC Expo, with vibrant pinks and original floral fabrics.
"We have exclusive textiles," said Annette Stoner, founder of the Arroyo Seco, N.M.-based bedding and accessories manufacturer. "Kristen Bortles did the artwork, and we applied it to our bedding."
Bortles is a renowned artist from Taos, N.M., and her work includes unique prints and a whimsical elephant that completes Pitter Patter's Asian theme.
The new line "keeps it baby and gives it an adult feel," said Stoner.
"We got risky with Java," Stone said, referring to the blue and brown collection sporting embossed velvet flowers and a mini-check sheet, something new for the manufacturer. The line has an ethnic flair, a familiar theme for Pitter Patter.
The Siam Sunset collection stood out, even from its second-row display, with its deep golden yellow background and details in camel minky and cranberry mini cord framing.
Although Hawaiian bedding continues to be a strong seller for Pitter Patter, Stoner listened to her clients who were looking for something different."We brought in purple for the parents who are tired of pinks," said Stoner.
The company is also now offering organic lavender soap, unisex bath mitts and reversible bathrobes.
This Jasmine crib set by Pitter Patter features exclusive artwork by Kristen Bortles. The whimsical elephant keeps the line within the manufacturer's Asian theme. The four-piece set of a bumper, fitted sheet, Tummy Time blanket and skirt retails for $540.
