Atlanta— For the first time, an entire floor at AmericasMart here will be dedicated to juvenile temporary exhibitors during the Atlanta Women's & Children's Apparel/Accessories Market this month.
The temporary space, on the fourth floor, is designed to complement AmericasMart's Children's World, the existing area for permanent showrooms. Several vendors have opened new permanent showrooms on the 13th floor, including art manufacturer Oopsy Daisy, apparel maker Amanda Remembered, shoemaker Mooshu Trainers, and gift and layette manufacturers Tickle Toes and 3 Marthas.
"AmericasMart is really on the verge of ramping up and growing its children's show, marrying product and apparel, and we want to have a solid presence there," said Shelly Hill, sales manager with 3 Marthas.
The Women's & Children's market offers a wide array of juvenile products, including apparel, shoes, maternity clothes, diaper bags, furniture, bedding, accessories, room décor, plush, gift toys and more.
"Cross merchandising is as important to a children's boutique as it is to a women's boutique," said Lawton Hall, senior vice president of apparel sales at AmericasMart. "We're the best resource for retail buyers in the children's industry because we offer a product mix that allows stores to successfully cross merchandise and capture impulse buying."
