N. American Bear to make Emily plush

Dallas— North American Bear Co. will produce a line of plush Emily dolls and accessories under license from Bordeaux Partners. The property features the free-spirited monkey and star of the children's book "Emily Goes Wild."
Along with plush dolls, North American Bear Co. plans to develop a line of soft gift accessories such as muffs, scarves and goodie bags. The collection will debut in the fall at retail stores, including Neiman-Marcus. Small Miracles has also signed on to produce a collection of costumes and accessories that will allow girls to dress like the fashionable primate.
Bordeaux Partners plans to announce a new licensee for the Emily property at Licensing Show this month that will include home décor items such as throws, decorative pillows, totes, frames and more.
The company is also looking for additional licensees for children's furniture, jewelry, shoes, apparel, stationary, party goods and other categories.
