Longmeadow, Mass.— Licensing agency Bliss House has secured licensees in the juvenile products category for two of its key properties: Harry the Dirty Dog and Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.
Taggies has signed on with Regal Licensing, a subsidiary of Bliss House, to produce a limited-edition Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund infant blanket. The embroidered cotton blanket will feature Taggies' patented satin tags along the edges and will retail for $32.95, with 4% of the sales going to the memorial fund to help with charity work. Taggies will debut the blankets at the Atlanta Gift Show in July with plans to ship the licensed blankets in October.
Puzzle and stationary maker Mudpuppy Press has signed with Bliss House to produce a puzzle featuring the classic character of Harry the Dirty Dog.
Harry, the central character in the children's book series published by Harper Collins, is pictured on the 36-piece puzzle, which is packaged in a cube-shaped box with a carrying cord. The puzzle is shipping now and retails for $9. Other Harry the Dirty Dog licensees include Yottoy for plush, Scholastic for videos and Peaceable Kingdom Press for greeting cards and invitations.
