April & Ken Goore win 3rd annual retail award

Bonita Springs, Fla.— Independent juvenile specialty retailers April and Ken Goore received the 3rd annual Merchandising Leadership Award at the Kids Today Conference held here last month.
The award is given to an individual or individuals who have shown market leadership and innovation, and who have had an impact on the juvenile industry, including being involved in the community. Nominations were solicited from the industry; the Kids Today editorial board narrowed the nominations down to five finalists, and a panel of industry representatives then chose the winner from those five finalists.
The other four finalists were Irving and Barry Freedberg of Bellini Furniture, Jami Myers of Breuners Arizona, Kristina Ventura of BombayKIDS and Eyal Rappoport of Rooms to Go Kids.
