Children's Specialty Group elects Simon as chairman
El Paso, Texas — Mark Simon has been elected chairman of the board for the buying group Children's Specialty Group, or CSG. The group held the vote during it annual meeting in Las Vegas.
Simon is with Simon's Baby Furniture in Rochester, N.Y. Marilyn Luterman of Tiny Tot Shop in El Paso was re-elected secretary/treasurer.
Members of the Children's Specialty buying group are Baby Super, Bober's, Boston Baby, Dearborn, Simon's, Tiny Tot Shop and Tiny Totland.
Traditions names Marti new VP of sales and retail
New York — Judi Marti has been named vice president of sales and retail for luxury bed linens company Traditions by Pamela Kline.
Marti will report directly to Shari M. Kline, president, and Pamela B. Kline, CEO.
Traditions by Pamela Kline, which produces classic bed linens with designs rooted in American and European history, has recently opened venues at ABC in New York and a free-standing store in Manchester, Vt.
Marti will be responsible for each of these ventures along with Traditions' new "store within a store" concept opening in major cities across the United States.
Before joining Traditions by Pamela Kline, Marti was director of stores for Max Mara/Marina Rinaldi, store director for Christian Dior and women's group manager for Barney's of New York.
Marti's appointment is part of an expanded growth plan for Traditions.
