Juvenile industry follows the buzz to Vegas
Inaugural furniture market here gets underway at end of month
Staff -- Kids Today, 7/1/2005
After years of planning, the first Las Vegas furniture market is almost here. Thousands of manufacturers and buyers are gearing up for the show. Of course, orders will be written, but many are just plain curious to see how this first market will go. Some are worried that the distractions of Sin City might mean less work, more play. Others think that the plentiful hotels rooms and various restaurants will make the show a more pleasant experience, and business will still get done.
And of course, the juvenile industry will be a huge part of the mix. Several manufacturers have signed on to show in the two Vegas Kids sections, including KidKraft, Camelot Furniture, Bean Bag Boys and Kids Clubhouse Mattresses. Many are bringing introductions from High Point, but several, including Bean Bag Boys, are debuting new product.
Time will tell if this becomes a must-attend market, but for now, the energy is there. See you in Vegas!
