West Point, Ga.— Textiles manufacturer WestPoint Home has signed an agreement to produce licensed bedding and bath products based on the KOL Internet character Princess Natasha.
KOL, an Internet service provided by America OnLine, is designed for children up to age 12 and features exclusive content from leading children's brands and original programming. "Princess Natasha" airs as a series on the Web service.
WestPoint plans to produce a bedding collection that will include sheets, pillowcases, comforters, blankets, bedspreads, throws, decorative pillows and other accessories. The bath line will be composed of towels, bath sheets, shower curtain and hooks, and accessories such as a tumbler, soap dish, wastebasket, lotion pump, wall border and rug.
The collection will debut at the spring textiles market, and is scheduled to begin shipping in the fall.
In addition to the WestPoint deal, officials at AOL are looking to license the cartoon character in other categories, including apparel and toys.
