Several new licensees join roster at Delta

Staff -- Kids Today, 3/1/2006

New York— Juvenile furniture manufacturer Delta Enterprise has added several new licenses to its lineup of toddler furniture, including The Little Mermaid, Go Diego Go, Care Bears, Hasbro Games, Tonka, NASCAR, My Little Pony and Disney/Pixar's Cars.

As part of Disney's upcoming re-release of "The Little Mermaid," Delta is introducing a roll-top toy box chest, a table and chair set with fabric mermaid tails, and a bubbled storage bin.

Delta is also expanding its Disney collection to feature a line based on the Pixar film "Cars," due to hit theaters in June. Furniture pieces and accessories in that line include a Lightening McQueen toy box shaped like a car, which opens from the hood and trunk, as well as a stop stool with a textured rubber gripping step that resembles fire tracks. Both The Little Mermaid and Cars lines will also feature pieces from Delta's full collection of furniture and room décor.

Delta is also expanding its Nickelodeon collection with new items featuring characters from the television series "Go Diego Go," including a Go Diego Go activity table and stool set with a marker-ready tabletop, two removable cloth toy bins and two stools.

Several of Delta's new licenses feature a hint of nostalgia, with Hasbro board games like Candy Land and Monopoly brought to life on table and chair sets and game tables. Delta is also bringing back My Little Pony with a toddler bed with fabric trim, pop-up headboard, a room divider and overnight bed.

For boys, the company is introducing two new lines of furniture featuring Tonka and NASCAR. Each line will include a toddler bed, table and chair sets, toy boxes, storage pieces, step stools and other pieces.

The company showed the new licensed product at the American International Toy Fair last month. Delta is also showing at the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Assn. trade show in May.

This licensed The Little Mermaid set features fabric tails on the chairs.
