Dick Idol youth line on tap from Klaussner
Staff -- Kids Today, 4/1/2006
Lexington, N.C.— Dick Idol is moving into youth with a line of licensed home-décor products, including furniture from lead licensee Klaussner Furniture.
The program, called "Cody & Colt" in honor of Idol's children, builds on Klaussner's youth program, first launched in fall 2005.
"Klaussner has entered the youth category in a big way, and we believe that Dick Idol's outdoor-inspired looks in the proven Mission Valley styling should be a no-brainer to add to our offerings," said Darren York, Klaussner's vice president of merchandiding. "It's important to offer great styling that kids won't grow out of as they grow up."
Key case good features include a two-toned warm honey finish highlighted with distressing and antiqued bronze detailing and hardware. The Klaussner offering will include a twin and full bed, bunk bed, trundle bed, dresser, chest, mirrors, nightstand, bookcase, desk, hutch, armoire, and student chair.
The Dick Idol youth line will debut this month in High Point. Coordinating youth-oriented products, including cowboy and Indian themes, will be offered by other Dick Idol licensees.
Dick Idol wall decor items are from StyleCraft Home Collection.
