Wham-O brands move into licensing

Emeryville, Calif.— Branded consumer products company Wham-O has chosen Synchronicity and Out of the Box to represent and license its portfolio of toys, sporting goods and recreational products.
Wham-O brands include Slip 'N Slide, Frisbee, Hula Hoop, The Original Superball, Hacky Sack, Morey Boogie Boards and others.
"Our legendary brands lend themselves naturally to other categories like accessories, home goods, beach and backyard fun and more," said Peter Sgromo, vice president of marketing at Wham-O. "This relationship is a prime example of our expanding strategy of extending our classic brands, original fun toys and recreational product lines to reach even wider audiences."
Initial plans call for Synchronicity and Out of the Box to license the Wham-O brands through a multi-phase licensing approach that will include Frisbee Lifestyle, Frisbee Pet, Boogie Lifestyle, Morey Beach & Surf, Wham-O Retro Brands and Wham-O Backyard and Beach.
