Pier 1 Kids launches first bathroom lines

Ft. Worth, Texas— Pier 1 Kids has launched its first bath collections, extending its children's décor products to include bathrooms as well as bedrooms and playrooms.
"So many children have bathrooms of their own these days, so adding a bath collection to our product lineup made perfect sense," said Peter Fowler, director of merchandising for Pier 1 Kids.
The new lines, which include two boys looks and one girls look, include shower curtains, towels, bath rugs, bath gels, soaps and more. Price points range from $5 for soap dishes to $20 for bath towels and $49 for a shower curtain.
"We have been known as a source for fun, affordable, stylish and safe furniture and decorative items for kids," said Fowler. "We feel these new collections enhance our ability to serve as a one-stop resource for children's furniture and accessories."
The new bath collection includes a brightly colored stripe pattern for girls in shades of pink, lime, red, aqua and mango. Boys groups include a camouflage collection and a sports-themed look with a navy curtain and football, baseball and basketball motifs, including shaped rugs and toothbrush and soap dispensers.
The color palette and patterns were designed to compliment bedding and decorative accessories currently available in Pier 1 Kids' product assortment.
"Parents and kids are looking for decorating options to make their children's rooms complete, fun and coordinated," said Fowler. "Our bath collection does just that."
The new Pier 1 Kids bath collections include a variety of coordinated merchandise.
