MGM introduces E-Track feature

High Point— Home furnishings transportation company MGM Transport has launched a new feature called E-Track that allows businesses to receive daily e-mails on the status of their shipments.
The information will still be available through a secure MGM Web site or by calling for information. The new E-Track solution proactively e-mails tracking information. Proof of delivery and bill of lading reports are also viewable on demand in the latest Version 5 updates to MGM's online tracking system.
"Our mission is to provide our customers with the information and services they need to make their business run more smoothly," said Ben Keller, MGM's chief information officer. "We pioneered the MGM Online Tracking System, and we are constantly seeking to improve the technology and reporting."
MGM is also highly involved in the Furniture Industry Data Exchange, a neutral industry group promoting standards of data exchange and furthering the development of e-business standards.
The MGM E-Track Update service is available to all MGM customers, in addition to 24/7 online tracking capabilities.
