Itasca, Ill.-based Enesco will launch a line of baby giftware based on the Land of Milk & Honey license from G Studios during the summer shows.
The Land of Milk & Honey is a lifestyle brand whose sweet, whimsical characters capture the timeless appeal of nursery rhymes. Last month, Enesco began introducing nearly 20 giftware products, including frames, a birthday collection, keepsake and music boxes and a personalized baby announcement figurine, among others. Price points for the collection are $20 and under. Each piece will feature the Queen bee, named Tilly.
Enesco's Land of Milk & Honey collection will be available to specialty retail and mid-tier department stores and will be in stores in October.
"Targeting recipient and occasion-driven gift occasions is a long-term initiative for Enesco," said Basil Elliott, President and CEO of Enesco Group, Inc. "The new baby category is a growing segment in the retail market, and partnering with G Studios was a strategic fit. We look forward to premiering the collection at our showrooms in Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles this summer."
Enesco has also been named a licensee for The World of Beatrix Potter property. The Wildflower Group, North American licensing agency for the classic storybook brand, showcased the deal at the Licensing Show in New York last month.
Under the agreement, Enesco will produce a variety of items including figurines, picture frames, ornaments, banks and trinket boxes. The retail launch is set for October. "Miss Potter," a feature film based on the life of author Beatrix Potter, is set for release in December and stars Renee Zellweger in the title role.
